OII Recruitment: Research Fellows, Research Assistant

Oxford Internet Institute is seeking two Research Fellows to complement our multidisciplinary team undertaking research into the societal implications of the Internet and related information and communications technologies.    

The preference is for candidates with a strong theoretical and/or methodological background in computer science, law or one of the social sciences, including communication, information, media studies, economics, political science, social psychology or sociology; and with an interest in research which will complement one of our current research areas.

Based in the heart of Oxford, the posts are available from October 2009 for two years in the first instance with the possibility of renewal thereafter.

OII is also seeking a Research Assistant in Communication and Development to work with a new project team. The project will create and employ an electronic collaboration platform to support an international network of individuals in discussing innovations in regional development and co-producing public events and documents that support regional development goals. The Research Assistant must be bilingual in oral and written Spanish and English at a high level.   

Based at the OII, this position is available immediately for 12 months in the first instance, with the possibility of renewal thereafter. Applicants wishing to work part-time will also be considered.
